Current projects

PRUComm currently has three core research projects, and are also undertaking a number of shorter projects at the request of the Department of Health and Social Care. The research programme will examine three main areas of commissioning and the health and social care system structure:

  • Integrated systems (Research on the developing architecture of system management including ICSs, ICOs and STPs or their successors)
  • Primary care networks (Primary Care Networks: exploring developments in primary care commissioning, contracting and provision)
  • Outcome measures for assessing the impact of changes in community health services (Understanding the impact of services in the community on hospital care)

We also have three responsive projects:

  • Updated modelling for the Local Authority Public Health grant
  • Evaluation of the impact of changes to incentive schemes for general practices
  • Tenth GP Worklife survey
