Updated modelling for the Local Authority Public Health grant

The aim of this project is to update the needs modelling on sexual health and substance misuse services that underpins part of the allocation formula for the public health grant to local authorities.

The grant allocation to Local Authorities for carrying out public health duties needs to be updated for 2020. DHSC will need to engage with the local authorities prior to any changes coming into effect, which means that the formula that was used in 2015 needs to be revised to enable DHSC to begin the engagement process around 12 months in advance.
